McWhinney Foundation

With deep roots in Northern Colorado, Chad and Troy McWhinney have continued a family tradition of philanthropic giving through the McWhinney Foundation and McWhinney associates. To date, the McWhinney Foundation has contributed nearly $20 million in cash gifts and land donations to enhance the quality of life for families and children in Northern Colorado.

In tandem with the McWhinney Foundation’s charitable giving, McWhinney is a member of Business Cares, a United Way program dedicated to helping companies with community outreach and business citizenship programs. 

McWhinney provides two paid hours a month to each associate for volunteer time in the community, and last year, all 85 associates participated. To further encourage volunteer involvement and ensure a wide diversification of grant funding, the McWhinney Foundation includes grants initiated by McWhinney associates for their nonprofit of choice in its award process.
