Here are a few highlighted build-to-suit projects developed by McWhinney:
Constant Contact - Customer Service Center
50,000 SF
Constant Contact turned to McWhinney as a reliable and trustworthy development partner for their 50,000 SF build-to-suit customer service center in Northern Colorado. They had a tight budget and a very aggressive schedule requirement. An initial 9,000 SF leased temporary space was provided for six months in an existing building and a long term lease for the build-to-suit building. A collaborative phased design/construction process created a “Phased In” occupancy format that allows them to grow annually from 9,000 SF, to 25,000 SF to 50,000 SF by year three and structure a lease deal accordingly.
Crop Production Services - Corporate Headquarters
82,381 SF
Agrium partnered with McWhinney to build a corporate divisional headquarter facility for Crop Production Services. Maintaining a strong corporate appeal while utilizing sustainable design and construction methods, the McWhinney team completed the fourth Rangeview office campus building on time and under budget. The four building lakefront campus which makes up 235,000 SF offers awe inspiring mountain views to the west provides comfort with 70% exterior windows to create an inviting workplace. Immediate connectivity to an adjacent trail system, outdoor seating options and public gathering areas in addition to a nearby health club helps attract top agriculture talent while obtaining high productivity.
Heska - Corporate Headquarters
60,756 SFA veterinary pharmaceutical R&D company, Heska Corporation partnered with McWhinney on a build-to-suit, leasable facility that would support its immediate operational needs while accommodating future expansion. The facility had to fit Heska’s financials and unique operational needs while providing an attractive workplace for employees. This build-to-suit included functional interior office space, a warehouse facility, research and development lab and a high-end communications infrastructure. A pet play area supports their corporate culture of bringing your pet to work.
Kroll Factual Data - Corporate Headquarters
33,662 SF
As an emerging company, Kroll Factual Data (KFD) needed a corporate campus to support a long term growth strategy fueled by ongoing acquisitions. The company required a master-planned corporate
facility that would allow additional space to come online quickly with the least possible business interruption. With three already built, KFD’s master plan includes designs for up to four buildings that
can be constructed over an extended period, allowing the company to expand from an initial site of approximately 20,000 square feet to over 130,000 square feet at build out. Buildings are separate but aesthetically connected. All are oriented toward an interior
courtyard and within walking distance to retail amenities.
JBS Swift - Corporate Headquarters
134,000 SF
JBS Swift, the world’s largest beef producer and exporter responds quickly to market opportunities and making strategic corporate investments. Such was the case when Swift decided to partner with McWhinney and consolidate multiple operating sites into one location in Northern Colorado. The company needed a state-of-the-art corporate headquarters built in the shortest possible timeline that would be adjacent to a prime transportation corridor between the east and the west. The first building developed by McWhinney in 2001 consisted of 102,000 SF and an additional 32,000 SF of space was added to the campus in 2006. Project management from McWhinney provided a single point of contact so any issues were addressed quickly to keep schedules and budgets on track.
